Marketing campaign setup from brief to launch

How do you set up a marketing campaign in Emitii?

A marketing campaign in Emitii runs in one space with the brief and assets in Docs & Files, a card per deliverable on the Board, launch dates in the Schedule, and team and client talk in Pulse. This is a blueprint you set up by hand in a few minutes.

Who this setup is for

Marketing agencies, in-house marketing teams and content studios running a campaign with a clear launch date: a product launch, a seasonal push or a fundraising drive. It works whether the campaign is for your own company or for a client.

You build this by hand in a few minutes, and can reuse the same column and folder names for every campaign.

Spaces to create

SpaceSpace typePurpose
Campaign name (e.g. "Q3 Campaigns")ProjectDeliverables, assets, dates, talk

For client campaigns, you can instead use the client's existing Client space and turn on the Board.

Modules to turn on

The Project type starts with Board, Tasks, Schedule, Timesheet, Posts and Activity, plus Pulse. Turn on Docs & Files. Keep the Timesheet on if you bill the campaign by the hour.

Board columns

Brief, Drafting, Internal review, Client review, Approved, Scheduled, Live.

Use labels for the channel: Social, Email, Web, Print, Video. Each card gets one owner, a due date and a checklist for its steps (draft, design, proofread).

Task lists and example to-dos

  • Kickoff: "Confirm budget and goals", "Agree key messages", "Share asset list with designer"
  • Launch week: "Final proofread of all copy", "Check links in email", "Post launch announcement"
  • After launch: "Collect results from each channel", "Write wrap-up post"

Docs and folders

Create folders for Brief, Messaging, Design assets, Final files and Results. Write the brief and the content plan as docs so the team can comment on them. Upload each design round as a new version of the same file.

Schedule

Put the launch date as an all-day event, then add review meetings and shoots. Deliverable due dates show on the same calendar, so a slipping card is visible next to launch day. Add a recurring weekly campaign check-in.

Pulse and Posts

Use Pulse for quick questions and feedback, with a thread per deliverable when discussion runs long. Pin a post with the one-paragraph brief summary, and send a weekly progress post. For client campaigns, invite the client as guests and share the Client review column, so every card moved there is visible to them.

Emit, the space AI, can draft the weekly update from the board or write a campaign summary as a Word or PDF file in Docs & Files, after you approve it.

Optional board Rules

  • When a card enters Client review, assign the account lead.
  • When a card's checklist is done, move it to Internal review.
  • When a card enters Client review and is overdue, set priority to Urgent.

After the launch

A campaign space is useful after launch day too. Collect results from each channel into a doc in the Results folder, and write a short wrap-up post covering what worked, what slipped and what to change next time. Clear finished cards with the board archive so the space is quiet but complete. When the next campaign starts, open the old space side by side and set up the new one with the same column names, labels and folder structure. Over a few campaigns this becomes your agency's own checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reuse this setup for every campaign?
Yes. Create each new campaign space with the same columns, labels and folders.
Can the client review deliverables?
Yes. Invite the client as a guest to the space. They see only that space and the cards and docs you share, and can comment on them.
