What is Emitii?
Emitii is a business workspace that brings communication, projects, tasks, documents, and calendars together in one connected workspace. Its message is simple: your work, connected.
Instead of running each project across a chat app, a task tool, a shared drive and a calendar, a team using Emitii gives every client, project or team its own space. The space holds the board, the to-do lists, the group chat, the documents, the schedule and the timesheet for that piece of work. Around the spaces sit direct messages, a personal calendar, personal notes and an AI assistant.
Who is Emitii for?
Emitii is built for businesses that run many projects at once, often for clients. That includes:
- Agencies, including marketing and design agencies.
- Software companies and startups.
- Consulting, accounting and audit firms.
- Event companies, architecture and engineering practices, and nonprofits.
- Small businesses and remote teams that have outgrown a pile of separate apps.
It works for teams of a few people and for larger organisations. Clients and other outside people can take part as guests in the spaces they are invited to.
What problem does Emitii solve?
Emitii solves tool sprawl: the habit of splitting one project across many tools. When conversation lives in chat, tasks in a tracker and files in a drive, context gets lost between them, people switch apps all day, and nobody can see a project's status without asking around.
Emitii puts the everyday pieces of a project in one place, so the discussion stays next to the work it is about and status can be read from the work itself.
What features does Emitii provide?
Every space can use these tabs, and admins turn on only what a space needs:
- Board: kanban cards in columns you name, with assignees, due dates, priority, labels, checklists, a blocked flag and automation rules (project management, automation).
- Tasks: to-do lists with assignees, due dates and repeating to-dos (task management).
- Pulse: the space's group chat, with threads, mentions, reactions and pinned messages (team communication).
- Posts: longer announcements and team updates (posts).
- Docs & Files: folders, Markdown docs, uploads, links, file versions and PDF download (document management).
- Schedule: the space calendar with recurring events, RSVP and meeting room booking (calendar).
- Timesheet: quarter-hour time entries, billable or non-billable, with weekly approval and CSV export (timesheets).
- Dashboard, Activity, Trash and Archive for overview, history and recovery.
Across the workspace there are direct and group messages, a Home page of what needs you, My calendar, personal notes, a company Directory, adjustable notifications and an Admin Console for people and access control. Emitii also offers an AI assistant: Emit works inside a space and asks for approval before it changes anything.
How does Emitii work?
- A workspace for your organisation. The Emitii team sets up the workspace and invites its owner. The owner and admins then invite members and guests.
- A space for each piece of work. You create a space and pick a type: Client, Project or Internal. Each type is a preset that turns on sensible tabs, and you can change them.
- Access per space. Each person gets a level per space: View only, Can contribute or Can manage. Access can also be set for groups and departments, and grants add up rather than narrow. Clients join as guests and see only their own spaces.
- Work and talk in one place. Cards, to-dos, events, posts and docs share one comment system, so discussion stays on the thing it is about.
- AI where the work is. When an admin turns AI on for a space, you can use the Emit tab or mention @emitii in Pulse or comments. Emit reads that space's work, can create or update cards, to-dos, events, posts, docs and time entries, and pauses every change for your approval. It can also generate PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, Markdown and text files into Docs & Files.
Emitii runs in the browser and can be installed as a web app (PWA) on phones and computers, with push notifications. Native mobile apps are coming soon.
What makes Emitii different?
- Organised by piece of work, not by content type. A space holds the chat, tasks, docs, schedule and hours for one client or project together.
- Built for client work. Client spaces, guest access, billable time and weekly timesheet approval are part of the product.
- AI that asks first. Emit works only inside the space it is in, and every write waits for approval. Deletes always need their own approval.
- Access that adds up. Levels are set per space and per area, and grants combine without surprises.
Security and data
- Encryption: everything is encrypted, including chat messages, comments, docs, notes and files, at rest and in transit.
- Separation between organisations: each organisation's data is kept separate from every other organisation's, and Enterprise workspaces can have everything on their own dedicated setup.
- Sessions: secure cookies, rotating refresh tokens, revocable sessions, CSRF protection and rate-limited sign-in.
- Sign-in: Google, or email and password (at least 10 characters). New people join by invitation.
- Audit log: admin actions are recorded in the Admin Console.
- Recovery: Trash keeps deleted items restorable for 30 days, and archived work is kept until you restore it.
- AI and your data: customer data is not used to train AI models, and Emitii AI keeps no long-term memory across conversations.
