Run every client campaign from its own space

How do marketing agencies organise client campaigns in Emitii?

Marketing agencies in Emitii give each client or campaign its own space, with the brief and copy in Docs & Files, deliverables on the Board, publish dates in Schedule and the team's discussion in Pulse. Clients join as guests to review and approve inside that space.

What a marketing agency juggles

A marketing agency runs campaigns: a brief turns into a plan, the plan turns into dozens of assets, and every asset needs writing, design, review, client approval and a publish date. Multiply that by ten retainer clients and a few launches, and the hard part is not creativity. It is knowing which caption is approved, which banner is waiting on the client, and whether the Thursday post still goes out.

The usual stack spreads that across a chat app, email threads with clients, a spreadsheet content calendar, a shared drive of copy decks and a task tool. Approvals get lost between them. The campaign management use case describes the pattern in more detail.

How the campaign maps onto Emitii

Emitii's landing page describes it simply: every client campaign in its own space, with the copy, the calendar and the chat in one place. In practice:

  • One space per client, or per campaign for big launches. A space called "Q3 Campaigns" can hold a quarter's worth of work for one retainer.
  • Project type is the usual choice, because it turns on the Board and the Timesheet. Switch on Docs & Files for the copy and assets.
  • Board columns follow your production stages. Columns are free text, so "Brief", "Writing", "Design", "Internal review", "Client review", "Scheduled" and "Live" work fine.
  • Cards are deliverables: one per post, email, ad set or landing page. Each card has assignees, a due date, a priority, labels such as "Instagram" or "Paid", a checklist and comments.
  • Tasks hold the recurring admin: monthly reporting, the weekly client call prep, invoicing reminders. To-dos can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or every N days.

The content calendar

Card due dates appear as chips on the space Schedule, next to real events like shoot days and review calls. That gives the team a month, week or day view of what is due, without keeping a separate spreadsheet in sync. Each person's My calendar pulls in the cards assigned to them from every client space.

Client approvals without email

Clients are invited as guests to their own space. They see only that space and only what the team shares: drafts stay internal until a card or doc is marked "Guest", and a "Client review" column shares every card moved into it. Clients talk with the team in Guest Pulse while the team keeps its own Pulse. A guest can comment on a card ("swap the second image"), and the comment sits on the deliverable it refers to. When the client says yes, the card moves to "Scheduled".

Board Rules can remove manual steps. For example: when a card enters "Client review", add the label "Waiting on client"; when it is completed, clear the due date. Rules have a dry-run preview, a run log and undo. See automation for the triggers and actions available.

Running many retainers at once

Account managers usually look after several clients. Home shows what needs them across every space, and the board filters (people, labels, priority, blocked, hide done) answer "what is waiting on the client?" in one click per space. Pin up to five spaces to keep the busiest accounts in view. For the broader agency setup, including travel and service agencies, see Emitii for agencies.

Reporting and hours

At the end of the week, a Post in the client's space makes a tidy status update with an @mention for the client contact. If AI is enabled for your organisation and the space, Emit can draft the weekly client update from the board, and you approve it before it is posted. Emit can also produce a PDF, Word or PowerPoint report into Docs & Files.

The team logs time per card as billable or non-billable, in quarter hours, and submits the week. Account leads can see hours "By work" to answer "how much did this campaign actually take?". Timesheets export to CSV for billing.

A marketing agency live demo

There is a live marketing agency workspace you can open without signing in. Move cards through a campaign board, tick off tasks and post in Pulse; your changes stay in your browser. Try the industry demos, then use the marketing campaign template as a guide to setting up your first real client.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Emitii as a content calendar?
Yes. Card and to-do due dates appear on the space Schedule in month, week and day views, beside review calls and shoot days.
How do clients approve work?
Clients are invited as guests to their space and comment directly on the card or doc. The team then moves the card to the next stage.
Can Emitii write the weekly client report?
If AI is enabled, Emit can draft the update from the board and save a report into Docs & Files. Every write needs your approval first.
Is there a marketing agency demo?
Yes. A live marketing agency workspace is available from the industry demos section of the home page, with no sign-in.
