What problem does this solve?
A campaign has many moving parts: a brief, a content plan, copy, designs, rounds of feedback, approvals and a launch calendar. Each part involves different people, and often a client who needs to see and approve work before it goes out.
When those parts sit in separate tools, the campaign manager becomes the glue. They copy feedback from email into the task tool, chase approvals in chat, rename files to show which version is current, and keep a separate spreadsheet for launch dates.
Who has this problem?
- Marketing agencies running several client campaigns at the same time.
- In-house marketing teams coordinating writers, designers and channel owners.
- Design studios and content teams whose work goes through several review rounds.
- Nonprofits and event organisers running outreach around a fixed date.
How is it usually handled?
A common setup is a task board for deliverables, a shared drive for assets, a spreadsheet or calendar for the content plan, a chat tool for the team and email for the client. Review happens by sending files back and forth.
What are the limits of that?
- Feedback is scattered. Comments arrive by email, chat and marked-up PDFs, and some are missed.
- Versions get confused. Several copies of the same design circulate, and the wrong one gets approved.
- The calendar and the board disagree. A deliverable slips on the board but the launch date in the spreadsheet never moves.
- The client sees only snapshots. They get updates when someone remembers to send one.
How does Emitii solve it?
Each campaign, or each client with its campaigns, gets a space. The space holds the brief, the deliverables, the dates and the conversation, so nothing needs copying between tools.
- Board for deliverables. Name columns after your stages, for example Brief, Drafting, Internal review, Client review, Approved, Scheduled and Live. Labels mark the channel (Social, Email, Web, Print), and each card has an owner, a due date and a checklist.
- Docs & Files for the brief and assets. Keep the brief, the messaging doc and the content plan as docs, and upload designs to folders. "Upload new version" keeps one file with its version history instead of five copies. See document management.
- Schedule for the launch plan. Put launch dates, shoots and review meetings on the space calendar. Card due dates show on it automatically, so a slipping deliverable is visible next to the launch. See calendar features.
- Comments for feedback. Reviewers comment on the card or on the doc itself, with @mentions and attachments, so feedback stays on the work.
- Guests for client review. Invite the client as guests to their space. They see only that space, and only the cards, docs and posts you share with them. Share the Client review column and every card in it follows. They comment on shared items and chat with your team in Guest Pulse.
- Posts for updates. Pin the campaign brief summary as a post and send weekly progress updates the same way.
Emit, the space AI, can draft the weekly client update from what happened in the space, or produce a campaign summary as a Word or PDF file in Docs & Files. It asks for approval before it saves anything.
What does the workflow look like?
- Create a space for the campaign (or the client) and turn on the Board and Docs & Files.
- Write the brief as a doc and pin a short summary in Posts.
- Build the Board with your review stages as columns and a card per deliverable.
- Plot the dates in Schedule: drafts due, review rounds, launch day.
- Invite the client as guests and share the Client review column so they can review and comment directly.
- Produce and review on the Board, talking in Pulse and uploading new file versions.
- Launch and report. Move cards to Live, post a wrap-up and archive the finished cards.
The marketing campaign template sets this up step by step, and marketing agencies shows how agencies run many campaigns side by side. For the client side, read how agencies manage client projects.
Running several campaigns at once
Agencies and busy in-house teams often run several campaigns in parallel. Give each one its own space, pin the most active ones, and use My calendar to see launch dates and deliverable deadlines across all of them in one view. Home lists overdue and upcoming items from every space, so nothing falls between campaigns.
