Emit, reached through the Emit tab or an @emitii mention, is the AI inside every space. It knows that space's board, tasks, schedule, posts, docs, chat and timesheet, and can do work there.
Emit: the space agent
Open the Emit tab in a space, or mention @emitii in the space's Pulse or in a comment on a card, to-do, event, doc or post. Starter prompts include "What is blocked or overdue?", "Summarise what is in progress", "What is on the schedule this week?", "What is assigned to me?" and "Catch me up on this space".
What it can do in the space
- Board: read the board; create, update, move, complete, assign and delete cards; manage columns and checklists.
- Tasks: create lists and to-dos, update, complete and delete them.
- Schedule: list, create, update and delete events.
- Posts: list, create, update, delete and pin posts.
- Docs & Files: read, create and update docs, manage folders, rename, move and delete.
- Comments: read, add, edit and delete.
- Pulse and Activity: read chat history, activity and members to answer questions.
- Trash: list and restore deleted items.
- Timesheet: log, edit or delete time, submit a week, and for admins approve or reject a week. See timesheets.
It asks before it acts
Every change Emit wants to make pauses for Approve or Reject. Multi-step work is shown as a plan you approve first, and Emit can ask you a question with clickable options when a request is unclear. You can approve edits once or for the session, but every delete always needs its own approval. In comment threads, a handful of small, safe edits (up to five) can go through automatically, while deletes are sent to the AI panel for review.
It writes files into Docs & Files
Ask Emit for a report, a client summary, a plan or a spreadsheet and it creates the file in the space's Docs & Files: PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), CSV, Markdown or plain text. Files never land in chat. Very long replies are saved in full as a Markdown file.
Per-space instructions
Each space can have its own AI instructions, for example the client's tone of voice, the naming convention for cards, or which column counts as done.
Use Emitii from your coding agent
Developers can work with Emitii from the command line. The Emitii CLI connects your favourite coding agents, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode, to your spaces, so they can read and update tasks, comment, read and write docs and log time. The Emitii team enables it for each organisation, so contact the Emitii team to see how it fits your work.
Admin controls and usage
- Off by default. The Emitii team switches AI on for an organisation.
- Per space. Admins then turn AI on for each space where they want it.
- Per person. Admins can allow or block individual members.
- Guest-safe answers. When a member asks @emitii in a space's Guest Pulse, it only uses what that space's guests can see, so it never quotes internal work.
- Usage. Admin > AI Usage shows tokens, requests, cost, the monthly budget and what remains, broken down by model, surface, top users, top spaces and day.
Scope and data
Emit works with the space it is asked in, so answers stay grounded in that space's own board, tasks, schedule, posts and docs. It keeps your conversation history, and past chats stay listed. A bare "@emitii" with no request is ignored. Emitii's privacy policy states that customer data is not used for training.
Who uses it
Project leads ask Emit for a weekly catch-up before a client call. Marketing agencies have it draft the client update as a Word file from the board. Startups use it to write a sprint recap or turn a meeting note into cards.
